Today we had a full day to explore the city of fashion, art,
museums, food and joie de vivre. We see
La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Madeleine, the Eiffel
Tower , the Pyramid near the Louvre,
the Invalides, the Champs Elysees .
Notre DameI think this is the tunnel in which Diana lost her life.
In the evening our bus takes us to a restaurant very
reminiscent of the restaurant in the movie, Ratatouille. In fact,
during the meal, a mouse came out and ran just behind my head on the seat
back. I didn’t see it, but would have
been charmed to have done so. Our meal was
delicious, the endless beverages (wine for some, soda for others) and
serenading musicians just for our party was enjoyed by all.
It was a strange sensation to realize that the bus full of
strangers, who just a bit over a week ago set out on an adventure with us, and
eventually became like family, have just said goodbye.
There were some who will truly not be forgotten. There may be a few with whom we remain in
touch. It is doubtful we will see any of
them again.
But we will never be the same having met them.
