We had a full day of seeing Edinburgh, although there were many things I wish had been included...things we saw before and would like to see again, and things/places we hadn't been able to see previously. But the primary reason for this trip, at this time of year is to attend the Military Tattoo, and that we did.

HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL YACHT
|
Part of the city tour, Jude, Glenn, Larry and I boarded the royal yacht, looking forward to lunch, or at least tea on board. After wandering through, Jude and I looked at each other and said, "can't stand any more...bored." We'd seen the honeymoon stateroom of Charles and Diana, and many other sights for someone's interest, but of that very thing, we'd run out! Off we went, in the drizzle to get that promised luncheon or tea....sorry, tea room closed. By now our tummies were grumbling.
After a short stop in the souvenir shop where I was able to purchase two delightfully fluffy and royally crested towels for a bridal shower gift for a God-daughter, we were off to find food, tea, and brews/wine.
