August 10, 2017 - Tour Day 12

Our tour heads south to Galway, a popular seaside destination and an active center of colorful shops and busy café and pub culture.

Isn't this rose just beautiful?  Just blooming outside the hotel.

Love the random "art" along the roads.

Sorry it's so crooked, but it pretty much is!

How much would I have liked to wander and read.

Galway

This guy is a terrific sand sculptor, but given the crack and demeanor, I didn't want to get too close!

We cross the limestone plateau of The Burren and revisit the 668 foot high Cliffs of Moher.  The cliffs were much more enjoyable this trip as the weather was more fair and the winds were nothing like they'd been the previous trip!  I could actually walk on the steps without holding on desperately!

Twisty road, higher....

and higher.....

and higher.....

I'm always fascinated with the artwork on buildings.

The Cliffs of Moher

Not easy doing Selfies with a guy a foot taller.  And I couldn't see a thing with the sun in my eyes!

We got to our hotel and had an opportunity to clean up and change into fresh outfits for a special dinner.

That evening we had the pleasure of revisiting Bunratty Castle, this time enjoying a banquet with all the special touches.

A dress in the gift shop.  It made me think of a dear friend who has passed, she and I always gave each other little gifts of buttons, and I called her "buttons".

Back to our hotel for a drink before bed.
